A native Detroiter, John graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Shortly thereafter, he began his life insurance career and quickly earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from the American College. As a Licensed Insurance Counselor, his areas of expertise include Wealth Transfer Planning for the affluent and Corporate Succession Planning.
John is a member of numerous professional associations and has served as President and/or Board Member of The Financial & Estate Planning Council of Detroit, The Society of Financial Service Professionals, NAIFA and The Forum 400. He is also a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, and a 37 year member of the Million Dollar Round Table with 19 "Top of the Table" qualifications.
John Marshall was a founding partner of ALCOS, an insurance and benefits planning firm, located in Sterling Heights, Michigan and most recently served as Chairman of the Board. On March 1st, 2007, Alcos, the largest independently owned agency in Michigan, was acquired by Brown & Brown (NYSE: BRO)and he continues with the firm in a non-executive capacity as an advisor in the Financial Services Division. John is also a Principal in "M Financial" one of the nation's premier financial services design and distribution companies, serving the ultra-affluent and corporate markets.
Although an alumnus of Wayne State University, John has been an active supporter of Oakland University for many years and has served on the SBA Board of Visitors. He is also past Chairman of the March of Dimes of Michigan. His ongoing community involvement includes work with at-risk youth. John and his wife Jan live in Troy. Their three adult daughters, spouses and grandchildren live nearby and together share a great family experience.

Marc currently manages the Financial Services Division of Brown and Brown Detroit. For over a decade he has worked very extensively in the areas of wealth accumulation and wealth preservation and has had the good fortune to be mentored by one of the industry’s top professionals; Gene LoVasco.
Marc graduated from the Eli Broad Business School at Michigan State University. Marc went on to earn his CLU designation from the American College, holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses, and is licensed in life and health insurance for the State of Michigan. He is currently on the Executive Board and member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, member of the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metro Detroit, Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Top of the Table, and a member of Oakland Hills Country Club. Marc also is one of the youngest Principals of M Financial, a prestigious national partnership that specializes in working with the ultra affluent. Marc earned the Top Gun Award for 2008 and 2009; given to the top performing producer at Brown and Brown Detroit.
