New Technology Means Better 401(k) Offerings

By James Wampler

When was the last time you looked at your retirement plan and considered your options?

Because of recent technology advancements, participants now have access to much more variety than what conventional 401(k) plan selections provide.  In addition to the usual plan fund lineup, contributors can choose a wide range of options, including fund windows, brokerage windows, individually managed accounts and on-site individual employee education. These new choices help maximize the value your present 401(k) plan fees currently maintain, and you can add value to your plan, keep your fees relatively the same (if not lower them) and help to improve employee/employer communications.

ALCOS scours the marketplace for design solutions to help improve performance, administration and overall efficiency of your company’s 401(k) plan. We evaluate your present plan, review your goals and find the best retirement solution for you and your employees by matching your needs to the offerings of multiple carriers.

One example is our use of Nationwide as a recordkeeping platform. The Nationwide system is highly efficient and easy for employers and employees to use.  It has many cutting edge tools, like online enrollment, plan sponsor account access, custom reporting and exceptional participant materials for both you and your employees. This is just one of the many carriers we use to ensure your plan is administered smoothly.

As a decision maker, you need to understand how important your company’s retirement plan is to your employees.  Studies show that great workers are often hired and retained by the company’s benefits, not just by meeting salary requirements.

With that in mind, make sure you offer your employees the choices that meet their individual needs.  ALCOS uses the newest technology and is working to provide the best options meeting all of our clients’ needs.  Let us demonstrate how you can increase efficiency, value and options to your plan’s offerings as well as streamline your 401(k) plan.
